This is a one-year clinical fellowship under the direction of Robert A. Egan, MD, and William T. Shults, MD. Dr. Egan received training in neurology and cerebrovascular disease at Oregon Health & Science University and fellowship training in neuro-ophthalmology at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary with Simmons Lessell and Joseph Rizzo. Dr. Shults received training in ophthalmology at Oregon Health & Science University and fellowship training in neuro-ophthalmology at the University of California, San Francisco with William F. Hoyt.
The fellow will be exposed to a very busy clinical practice and will also be expected to participate in clinical research projects and teaching of residents in the ophthalmology, neurology, and neurosurgery departments.
