In the Northwest, Casey Vision Correction Center has been an innovator in laser vision correction surgery. The internationally recognized Casey team performed the first PRK in the Northwest in December 1994 and the first LASIK in the area in October 1996.
"I was familiar with Casey's reputation. I decided that these are my eyes and I'm going to have the best. I wanted the best available, not some low budget center."Casey Vision Correction Center's tradition of excellence stems from the depth of its surgeons' experience and its affiliation with Casey Eye Institute and Oregon Health & Science University, an academic center of excellence devoted to health care. In addition to performing surgery, Casey Eye Institute's specialists dedicate their expertise to providing comprehensive clinical care and conducting research.

The Casey Eye Institute is one of the
top five federally funded eye care centers in the United States and
is one of seven regional centers sponsored by Research to Prevent Blindness
(the world's leading philanthropic organization in support of eye research).
Built in 1991, Casey Eye Institute was funded entirely by private donors,
including gifts from Henry "Harry" Casey in honor of his
brothers, James and George Casey, the co-founders of United Parcel Service.
Other donors included the Oregon State Elks Association, the Murdock
Charitable Trust, and several individuals, foundations and corporations."I felt more comfortable going to Casey. I didn't want to trust my eyes to anyone else. If there were any complications I wanted to be at Casey. They are so professional and the care is spectacular."Casey Eye Institute and Casey Vision Correction Center are committed to remaining on the leading edge of eye care technology, being leaders in innovation and scientific training, and providing patient care of the highest possible quality.
