The Comprehensive Ophthalmology Service is devoted to providing primary eye care to patients at the Casey Eye Institute, educating residents and other medical personnel, and participating in research related to primary eye care.
The flagship of the service is Casey Ophthalmic Associates, located on the 5th floor of the Casey Eye Institute. Staffed by three faculty members, two residents, and a staff of five, the clinic is involved in almost all aspects of eye care from prescribing glasses and screening for eye diseases to performing cataract surgeries and a variety of lasers.
