New Methods of Imaging the Eye
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is available at Casey. This technique provides a cross-section picture of the structures in the back of the eye, including the retina. It is of increasing value in evaluating and assessing the response to treatment in AMD patients.Indocyanine green angiography (ICG) a photographic method of evaluating the retina, provides added information to the widely used fluorescein angiography. The technique is of value in selected patients with "wet" AMD, as well as other diseases. BACK TO TOP |
