The Casey Eye Institute has a full service Ocular Pathology Laboratory, known as the Christensen Eye Laboratory. The laboratory has been in existence for over 40 years and has archived specimens since its inception. The laboratory provides all types of histopathologic analysis of surgical and experimental eye tissues and supports the entire Casey Eye Institute in this area.

Dr. David Wilson directs the laboratory. Dr. Wilson is a member of the American Association of Ophthalmic Pathologists, and the Hogan Society (Western Ophthalmic Pathology Society).
