Vascular lesions are clusters of large or numerous blood vessels that are visible through the skin or give it a red appearance. Pigmented lesions include freckles and brown "age spots." Laser treatment for these lesions is done in our office and takes just a few minutes.
After treatment, you may see some redness. This usually disappears in a few hours. There may also be some slight swelling, which should disappear in a day or two. However, the treated area will not look discolored or bruised. We may ask you to use an antibiotic ointment on the treated area for a few days. Avoid sun exposure after treatment.
